Traversing in the picturesque hill station of Nagarkot is mostly a two-day ordeal, which normally starts from Sankhu. It is about 17 km away from Kathmandu and is an antique Newari settlement. This Newari settlement is rich in culture and traditions. The culture here is a bit different from other people. You will walk along the banks of the Sali river, which is linked with Lord Mahadev. It is believed that this river was the place where his wife Parvati, used to bath.

As you arrive in Nagarkot, you will be welcomed by the lush vegetation & fresh air carried away from the Himalayas. There are small villages here as well. From Nagarkot, you can witness astonishing views of the Himalayan mountains like Langtang, Gaurishankar, and even Everest on clear days.

If you head to the view tower in the morning, you will be greeted by a surreal display of sunrise enveloping these amazing mountains. After completing this trek, you will head back to Kathmandu via private vehicle, which takes normally an hour or so.
