About Trip:

Nepal not only stands out in the western world as a country of mountains and trekking trails but in recent years Nepal is making an identity for itself for being a perfect hub for adventure sports. There are activities like bungee jumping, ziplining, and paragliding. The front runner in the category of adventure sports is undoubtedly river rafting and to be more specific, ‘Trishuli river rafting’. This mighty river originates from the mighty Gosainkunda, and its roaring rapids have earned a reputation for swallowing men alive. Take this journey with us, Destination Unlimited Treks if you want to learn the true meaning of thrill and adventure.

Trishuli Rafting trip is easily accessible from the major cities like Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan. Trishuli river accompanies travelers on the Prithivi highway, and it is a sight to behold. This rafting journey starts from Chaurandi where you’ll gear up properly and listen to the advice of your guide. Make your way along the river and observe surreal gorges that this river has carved over hundreds of years.

The river introduces you to its roaring rapids and whirlpools, which can be hard to overcome. Acquaint yourself with the Class 2 and Class 3 rapids that go by the name of Ladise Delight, Upset, and Sunrise. These rapids are huge and can even harm you if you don’t apply precaution. The trip completes during the day, and after fulfilling it, you’ll be left with a newfound sense of courage.

Accommodation & Food

The Trishuli river resides about 100 km from Kathmandu valley, and it is on the Prithivi highway as well. You have the option of starting this trip either from Kathmandu or from Pokhara. If you are staying in these major cities, then you will mostly be staying in the 3-star and 5-star hotels. Find a hotel to stay depending upon your budget. You don’t have to worry about sanitation standards as these hotels are well equipped with them. In terms of food, you can dine on quality food in your hotels.

Best time to go on rafting in Trishuli River

If you wish to go on a rafting trip, then be sure to head during the peak monsoon season in Nepal, which occurs from June to August. The rivers reach their maximum size during this time of the year, and the river rapids will be extremely fun & exhilarating. There is the option of taking the rafting journey in October as well, but the size of the river may be a bit disappointing for you.

Difficulty Level & Altitude Sickness

Rafting in the rivers is not an easy task, but rafting in the Trishuli River is a completely different story. You will have to wear life jackets and helmets, plus you need to grab the boat properly or else you’ll fall on the river. At parts, the rapids can pull you so be careful. You need to be very cautious during Trishuli River rafting. This rafting journey does not see any sort of increase in altitude, so you don’t have to worry about altitude sickness or so.
